If your trying to increase the search engine ranking of a poorly ranked or even unlisted new site, it helps if the sites back linking to your campaign site also include links to some high ranking sites too.

These could include search engines such as google maybe the bbc homepage and yahoo.

Dont forget to include facebook  blogger and other social network sites such as twitter in your link building campaigns. Using a series of social network sites linking to each other can help pull up the se ranking of all your inbound link pages.
